Things to do
Visit the fort or the moti daman: a 16th century
Portuguese settlement. The fresh and carefree atmosphere. Savour
colorful beaches, colonial architecture, and make the best of your vacation.

Diu
has splendid Mediterranean touch with its airy verandas, sun dappled
streets. The magnificent 4 ft high cross and 7½ feet cathedral
of Bom Jesus. Diu has amazing stuff available for sale
made of shells or raw materials gathered directly from the sea.
Another mind blowing experience is the sun rise: see the sun emerge
from the horizon, and be lost in a reverie. Indulge in water
sports as Diu provides loads of opportunities to do so. |
|
Diu is a place
which seems to have clung to its past, the Portuguese legacy is predominantly
reflected in the culture and, even though it is a part of India. Diu
offers a different kaleidoscopic vision altogether.
Festivals:
Christmas is one of the biggest festivals,
celebrated with extreme enthusiasm, enough to spark anyone’s spirits.
Flowers play a major role in these festivals.
