'I wandered lonely as a cloud, when all at once i saw a crowd, a host, of golden daffodils. beside the lake, fluttering and dancing.'
The most sought after travel destination. A tranquil place to unwind and recharge your batteries. Snow capped peaks at this time of the year, are a major pull.

Things to do

Visit the heart of the city, the mall: the main shopping arena with shops lodged in buildings reminiscent of the Victorian rule. Go for a pleasant walk , away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Visit the gaiety theatre
where many famous personalities have performed and boasts of notable performances unlike any other. The viceregal lodge is one of the most beautiful buildings in Simla: once upon a time the summer rest house of Lord Dufferin. The ‘toy train’ is another exciting part of a visit to Simla. The inviting chadwick falls lie in the vicinity of the Simla, offering a break from the town’s feverish yet sluggish activities. The mall sells good woolens while the tibetan market offers an array of goods such as T-Shirts, bags etc.. Numerous restaurants in shimla offer ‘pahadi’ cuisine.
Festivals
Many will be surprised to know that there are some 2000 gods worshipped in himachal. In December, Halda is celebrated in lahaul with full fervour, which marks the onset of the New Year. Two important fairs are also held at Rampur, 140 kms. Simla also becomes the venue of lavi fair : the biggest trade fair in north India.
