To summarize: 'God's own country.' The emerald backwaters and the sprawling plantations will fill you with rapture and delight. A treat for your senses: visual satisfaction, plus experience the healing of the soul by indulging yourself in aroma therapy.

Things to do

Visit the Shree Padhmanabhaswamy temple held sacred by devotees - a centre of immense faith vested in the
power above. Trivandrum has fine beaches where one can rewind - kovalam beach, ponmudi and the enchanting kanyakumari. Visit the government art museum or the Napier’s museum. Restaurants such as Arul Jyothi and Chaithram offer amazing vegetarian fare. But even the non vegetarian fare dished out in Trivandrum is quite a spicy and delicious affair. Buy earthy items made of teak, sandal wood and other aromatic materials.
