Kuwait Airways History
Kuwait Airways was conceived in February 1953 by two Kuwaiti businessmen and established on March 16, 1954.It entered the jet age in 1962 by the leasing of a Comet 4-C, the world's first jet-engine airliner. Kuwait Airways was eventually taken over 100 % by the Kuwaiti Government and since then has been expanding its routes to destinations worldwide.
