SriLankan Airlines History
SriLankan Airlines which was previously called Air Lanka was established in 1979. Air Lanka was privatized in 1998 with the strategic partnership of Emirates and rechristened as SriLankan Airlines by which it is known today.
SriLankan Airlines Fleet
SriLankan Airlines boasts of modern and sophisticated an all Airbus fleet consisting of Airbus A340s, A330s and A320s. All their airplanes are equipped with Business and Economy sections and high-tech built in entertainment systems. SriLankan Airlines was the first in Asia to fly the Airbus A340 and the first in South Asia to order the A330-300 model aircraft.
