Thai Airways History
Thai Airways was formed with a joint venture between Tai Airways Company (TAC) and Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) in 1960.on April 1, 1977, the Thai Government bought 15% of the remaining SAS owned shares and the two carriers merged on April 1, 1998 to form Thai Airways as it is known today.

Thai Airways Fleet consists of modern and efficient aircrafts consisting of Airbus A340-500s, A340-600s, A380-800s, A300-600s, A330-300s, A321-200s, A330-300 and Boeing B747-400s, B747-300s, B777-300s, B777-200s, B737-400s and ATR-72s.The average age of the Thai fleet is 10.2 years.
Thai Airways Operations
Thai Airways which is South-Asia's largest airline operates flights to over 74 cities in 35 countries around the world including Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, North and South America and the African subcontinent. The airline operates one of the longest non-stop flights from Bangkok to New York and Las Los Angeles. In India, Thai Airways flies to Calcutta, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Varanasi and Hyderabad.
