By Air


The main airport at Bangalore is located 13 kms north of the city centre. Several domestic and international flights operate from the Bangalore Airport. There are direct flights, which connect Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkatta, Trivandrum, Pune, Mangalore among other cities to Bangalore. Flights from US, UK, Europe, Singapore, Middle East all land and take-off from the airport at Bangalore.


By Rail


The Bangalore City Railway Station has several local and long-distance trains that arrive and depart from it. The station is an important hub in the southern network of the Indian Railways. Several trains ply between Bangalore and Mysore and there is usually a huge rush on this route. The superfast Shatabdi and Rajdhani connect Delhi to Chennai via Bangalore.


By Road


State Transport and Private Buses operate in and out of the city and ply on various routes including Mumbai (1033 kms), Chennai (334 kms), Mysore (139 kms), Goa, Mangalore, Coimbatore etc. All intercity buses arrive at the Kempegowda Bus Station also known as the Majestic Bus Station. Air Conditioned Volvo Buses ply from the main bus stand of the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC).


Car Travel is another option, although a road journey by car can often get very stressful.
