  • Do not pre-book a houseboat if you intend to stay on one. Getting comfortable with the owner and the setting is of prime importance. In many cases you would be able to negotiate a better price as well in person.

  • Try and book a houseboat, which has easy land access.

  • To buy genuine, real saffron head out to a reputed shop or take an advice from a local. Do not buy the cheap imitation stuff real saffron is very expensive.
